Flower: Rock Water – Aqua petra- The Flexibility Flower
From Dogmatic Discipline to Flexibility

Those who are very strict in their way of living; they deny themselves many of the joys and pleasures of life because they consider it may interfere with their work.
They are hard on themselves. They wish to be well, strong and active, and will do anything which they believe will keep them so. They hope to be an example to others who may follow their ideas……… Dr Edward Bach

In the Negative:
Rock Water relates to the Soul qualities of flexibility and inner freedom. In the negative Rock Water state one tries to fulfill theoretical ideals that are out of date with what is really possible. Those in a negative Rock Water state build a mental monument of high spiritual guidelines, moral guidelines and perfectionist concepts and then feel overwhelmed by the responsibilities they have imposed on themselves.
They deny  many of the things that make everyday life pleasant and enjoyable because they don’t fit in with their strict and ascetic vision of life.
Those in the negative Rock Water state do not make good discussion partners. Whether it’s politics, pollution or philosophy, their position will always be “right” and absolute. They cannot acknowledge arguments/discussions that don’t fit into their scheme and therefore ignore them.

In the Positive:
Those in the positive Rock Water state may be described as flexible idealists. They are able to put aside their idealistic principles and convictions when confronted with new insights and greater truths. They keep an open mind. They are alert and use discipline to monitor their ideals in real life situations. Over time they can bring their ideals to fruition, and this makes them an example to others. They understand that inner harmony is more powerful than any external forced behaviour, and this allows more flow in life.
