What is Specialised Kinesiology and how does it work?

I have always had a passion for inspiring and empowering people, to assist them to feel better about and within themselves, helping them live a better quality life. I had initially studied beauty therapy, somatology and many types of massage and holistic therapies but felt like there was still a piece of the puzzle missing. These therapies were all great for making a person feel better temporarily but I felt they weren’t permanent solutions.

The word Kinesiology is pronounced kin-easy-ology. It is simply the study of muscles and the movement of the body. Specialised Kinesiology makes use of “muscle monitoring” holding a muscle against light pressure – as a method of communication to get feedback from the person’s nervous system. This enables a Kinesiologist to identify what is causing imbalances within the body’s systems and how best to re-establish that balance.

Benefits of Kinesiology: – Health is not just the absence of “dis-ease” or “dis-stress” – it is consistent energy, mental clarity, ability to adjust under stress, freedom from infection, emotional stability, good physical stamina, as well as the absence of dis-ease and, an attitude to embrace negative and positive aspects of life as a whole, flexibility.

Kinesiology can help you be better able to manage stressful situations. – It allows your body to recuperate and to recover its natural balance. – It allows for more energy and motivation to do life with an acceptance of yourself and others. – To have easier and more appropriate responses and coping abilities in stressful environments and situations. – All in all it can help to improve your quality of life.
