Negative Mimulus :
Mimulus relates to the Soul’s potential for courage and trust. Those in the negative Mimulus state must learn to overcome their fears which include very specific tangible fears that arise in everyday life. Fears of going on an escalator, inviting people to their house, fear of the neighbour’s dog, fear of an injection at the dentist. These fears are never spoken about on one’s own accord, but when asked directly, there are a lot more fears, including fear of the household budget, quarrels, being alone, flying, the list can be endless.
People in the negative Mimulus state find it difficult to tolerate too much of anything. They seem to have more subtle standards than others and less able to deal with loud noise, blinding light, large amounts of food and too many activities. Many Mimulus people are inclined to get ill when the pressure gets overwhelming.

Positive Mimulus
By taking Mimulus you can find your way out of your confusion of fears and anxieties and come back to your own true nature. You will learn that fear is primarily a problem in your own mind and can be addressed from the mind. From this perspective you are able to deal with each fear more effectively. You will cease to imagine something horrible that may take place in a certain situation and instead wait it out calmly, assessing the outcome realistically. In this manner you can grow beyond your anxieties and use your fine sense of humor and human understanding to help others in a similar situation. Mimulus helps you to access your inner courage, so that you can assert yourself with quiet confidence.

Behaviour in a Blocked State:
You imagine everything to be more dangerous than it really is.
You are hypersensitive to cold, noise, bright light, loud voices and strong smells.
You unconsciously procrastinate because of you anxieties.
You get very anxious when met with opposition or when things don’t work out right away.
Positive Potential:
You grow beyond your anxieties, know your limits and are able to face the world with cheerful composure.
You have a refined sensitive nature.
You have personal courage and understand others in similar situations.
