Although the concept of Vacuflex was totally new to me I felt so welcome and at ease when I had my consultation with Shamla. On entering her healing sanctuary I felt at peace. She made me comfortable and asked that I relax for a while whilst listening to gentle celestial music playing in the background. Once relaxed she started the session with a thorough explanation of the treatment plan as she went along, and boy does she know her stuff!

This incredible dynamic procedure involves using a vacuum boot foot reflexology treatment which may be combined with a cupping treatment sequence which works along the meridians as this therapy combines reflexology and major meridian Acupuncture acting on the lymphatic system, which reveals congestion and irregularities through discoloration and in this way the therapist can then access what is reflected, which is quite fascinating to say the least! I didn’t even know about some of these congested areas which are often the case as it can take years before we become aware of some of the symptoms which can be diagnosed in its early stages thus treated almost at its conception.

Our entire body is reflected in our feet, and with Vacuflex Therapy we can enjoy a full reflexology treatment combined with the stimulation of our meridians in one session, which apart from it being healing and detoxing, was incredibly relaxing once I adjusted to the pressure.

The human body is inexpressibly complex, not to mention its ability to heal itself, sometimes with a little help from a therapist and in this case through modern technology along with the irreplaceable human touch complimented by age-old tradition as meridian therapy is quite primordial.

This was followed by a hands-on reflexology treatment and unlike the cliché ‘no pain no gain’ – the pressure she works with is adjusted according to your personal comfort level, so once Shamla identified and cleared the congested areas I felt somehow lighter with no sensitivity.

I found Shamla to be a warm, caring, gentle soul filled with kindness. She is registered with The Allied Health Council as a professional Reflexologist & Meridian Therapist. She is also a qualified Kundalini Yoga Teacher

In the words of Television presenter Natalia Baker “Shamla was the organiser of my working visits to KwaZulu-Natal. I have experienced Shamla as a woman of marked integrity. She demonstrates qualities of congruence, complete honesty, steadiness and equanimity” ….so now what more can I possibly say, except give her a call, you won’t be sorry!
